How about you Ford guys? :dunno:
ok....:ford: aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahahahahahaha:jester:

well...heres my logic.....i have owned 3 chevy blazers, 2 chevy trucks, 5 chevy cars, a dodge truck and a plymouth and an olds or 3... i have owned 2 different ford rangers, and i will admit, the nite is my first ever f150...now...my grandpa has owned nothing but ford trucks till the day he died, and i learned how to drive in them, the blazer in my opinion is a really good vehicle!! and you cant beat an olds for reliability and comfort, i still dont like a dodge cause i am still going out and rescuing my uncle who has 2 of them. my plymouth was a 76 with the 360, it was a grand fury, awsome!! the ford rangers were the toughest little bastards i ever saw, as far as loyalty i abuse the hell outta my trucks, as you've seen in my vids, i have owned more chevys than fords, becuase the chevy's coulndt take as much abuse as the fords could, the nite is the first f150 i have personally ever owned and i thinks i got lucky getting that truck. my loyalty lies with ford for the reasons of the abuse and the neglect they can handle on a regular basis, but like my granddad said they will all last if you take care of them, but i dont take asw good care of it as i should, but thats ok cause it can handle it, so,, there ya go.

When I was in high school, I loved Chevy and absolutely hated Ford. The main reason behind that hate was that I drove a 2000 Ranger with an ultra gutless 3.0 V6.

Eventually the time came to get a new vehicle and I was dying for a 2000-2003 Mustang. I ended up getting my current truck because it was dirt cheap (fuel crisis of 2008), and I had already known that the 4.6 was more or less bullet proof. Because the entire drivetrain in my truck is pretty much identical to the 1999-2004 GT's, I've learned a lot about F150's and Mustangs as far as making power.

To be completely honest though, I like the styling of the 11th gen F150's more than any other truck on the road to date.

WHAT MAKES US SO LOYAL TO A BRAND?

When brand X screws you over royally on a vehicle that you love...you tend to look else ware.

For me, it was a brand that I had driven many examples from and not ONE of them left me stranded on the side of the road. Also influencing my decision was the fact that my neighbor had fantastic luck with products from this brand/company of brands.

Having said that, my loyalty to that brand is not near as strong as my dislike of brand X. If I had to replace my truck today...the top two vehicles would be from our new fiat-American partnership.

Every time I see one of the new Dodge trucks with some lift and a good set of meaty tires, I want to go to Dodge and make a deal. I don't think there has been another truck in recent years that looked so damn good with bigger tires and a mild lift.

I really don't think it gets much better than that.

When I first went looking for a truck in 2002, I didn't even give Ford or Dodge a chance. I went straight to Chevy. It WAS a brand loyal thing as I had owned 5 Camaro's by that time. Owning the Silverado was great. Loved it. But, when it got totaled (not by me), and I had to find a new truck..... I test drove the Ford, Dodge, GM/Chevy.

I decided to give all of them a chance. I didn't like the way the Dodge's rode, didn't like the body styles of the GM's and fell in love with the Fords. Then I found my Red F150 and saw a lot of potential in modifications.

I am still not brand loyal because if anything ever happens to my Ford, I will be jumping ship to the Ram TRX4, in Red, of course . I have seen one locally and they are sweet.

So, all in all, I am not a brand-loyal-type.

Neither is Pat. Last year, when it was time for him to get a new truck (he had a 2002 F150 4x4), we drove all of them. When he saw the Dodge, even before driving it, he knew it was "the one". He (and I) saw a lot of potential with it and loved the new body style of the TRX4's. (One day, it will have a 6" lift on it.) As it sits right now, it is totally stock with 35's, which is pretty impressive to us as I had to put a 2 1/2" leveling kit under mine to fit 33's! :dunno:

I'm a ford guy because when I was growing up my dad had a construction business and he only used ford trucks the last one he had I rember the most it was a 93 f-250. It was always overloaded and he even tried to pull a crane out of the mud with it. It had some problems but what would you expect in 300,000mi went through a tranny and some other minor stuff thats what made be a believer. But I dont under stand why my dream car is a 70 Chevelle ss. I also root for the Hendrick team in nascar. So maybe I just loyal to ford trucks but I dont know

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
My family has been mostly GM. My mom and dad always drove Chevys. That being said, my dad got a diff truck in the mid 90's and it was an F150. Nice truck. But he got a diff truck this summer, he bought a Silverado.

I actually drove all 3 when I was truck shopping in 2002. (My first vehicle that I bought). Of the 3 trucks, the Chevy was the nicest(condition-wise), rode the best, and seemed to be priced the fairest. That truck treated me so well that I only test drove the Chevy I bought in 2008. :dunno:

If I were truck shopping today, I'd go to the Chevy lot first. But I really think I'd at least test the other 2.
