I consider myself a GM guy mostly because of the LS engines...(wanna go fast get a Chevy) however.

I owned a 2004 Supercab 4.6 XLT F150 owned for a short amount of time which was then traded for this

Loved the Lariat but it was a lemon with 3 transmissions going out by the time it hit 54,000 so it was traded in for this

At that point I was done with ford and my mother drove the Expedition and WOW that 6 speed paired with a 5.4 was awesome. We absolutely loved that vehicle. 4x4 and independent rear suspension on air bags made it the perfect road trip vehicle. Can't say enough great things about that Expedition. I however was not sure what I wanted. I had this in the mean time.

I originally wanted a Regular Cab Dodge Ram 4x4 Sport but there were none within 250 miles of me so I ended up picking this up.

Loved it. Fast as **** and never let me down off road (which I did a lot of) I had to sell it though. And ended up with these.

The Honda is an awesome daily driver and I average 28 mpg which isn't bad since I don't try to get good mileage with it. And the F150 has seriously impressed me. It is much more refined and smoother off road (So much so that my wife was the one that noticed it compared to my GMC) and although it is slow it will pull all day with unbelievable amounts of low end torque. Something that LS engines do not have. Off road so far it has not let me down and I don't expect it to.

I am so impressed with how this 1997 F150 does on and off road on the still stock suspension that it came with from the factory. And since Fords 5.0 and Ecoboost engines are top dogs (IMO) right now, I would be hard pressed to buy anything but a Ford truck right now.

I for one am excited to see what GM brings to the table for the 2014 trucks.

We have owned other vehicles also but I don't have photos in photobucket so I can't post them now.

My dad owned a 2006 Regular Cab Hemi Ram (2WD) and that is why I wanted the same but 4x4.

And now my parents own a 2005?(I think) Honda Accord and my dad daily drives a 2002?(I think) Dakota that has about 330k. Motor and trans were replaced with used ones after 280K and my dad loves that little truck. They work it hard hauling parts for his shop and it never lets him down.

My Dad is (was I should say) a GM guy at heart. But after the 2007 Expedition he really likes Ford now.

Anyway sorry for the wall of text but that was my .02 million cents...lol

I also consider myself a GM guy but I am fairly close to moving over to Ram. Three friends of mine just purchased new RAM trucks in the last month. Two of them moving from GMT-800 Silverados and one from a Ford work van but has owned Dodges, and GM's in the past. All of them got smoking deals on their trucks. I don't know what it is but RAM is selling a hell of a lot of truck for not much money. Two of them got quad cab (that's RAM's equivalent of an extended cab, but with 4 full doors) fairly well loaded, power everything, 4wd and the 5.7 Hemi for 25k out the door. The dealership took 9.8k off the truck. Makes a guy who hasn't really looked at any other brand of truck, at least take a peek at the new RAM.

FWIW, you can get $12k ($13k with a GM trade) off sticker on 2012 GM trucks and $10k off 2013 models already. It takes some negotiating to get that but I found 2 dealers willing to do it. GM's discounts will only improve the closer we get to the new models coming out.

I do like the Ram trucks and would consider one if their resale wasn't so bad. That is what kept me from seriously considering one.

I still don't see a similar truck coming anywhere close to 25k. Maybe those certain dealers are running special rebates or something in your area.

I went from mainly GM to Dodge/Ram and wouldn't go back at this point. The 09+ Rams are head and shoulders above the GMT800's in all aspects, and the pricing is WELL below any of their competitors. I know I'll catch flack for saying it on this site, but it's my opinion anyway. :D

I would only consider to buy a Ram if it had a turbocharged straight-6 engine :jester:

I can't say I dislike the Hemi, but I'd rather get an LS if I were looking for a gasser.
