Bitch You Ain't No Nerd?!?!?!?!?...
I consider myself a GM guy mostly because of the LS engines...(wanna go fast get a Chevy) however.
I owned a 2004 Supercab 4.6 XLT F150 owned for a short amount of time which was then traded for this
Loved the Lariat but it was a lemon with 3 transmissions going out by the time it hit 54,000 so it was traded in for this
At that point I was done with ford and my mother drove the Expedition and WOW that 6 speed paired with a 5.4 was awesome. We absolutely loved that vehicle. 4x4 and independent rear suspension on air bags made it the perfect road trip vehicle. Can't say enough great things about that Expedition. I however was not sure what I wanted. I had this in the mean time.
I originally wanted a Regular Cab Dodge Ram 4x4 Sport but there were none within 250 miles of me so I ended up picking this up.
Loved it. Fast as **** and never let me down off road (which I did a lot of) I had to sell it though. And ended up with these.
The Honda is an awesome daily driver and I average 28 mpg which isn't bad since I don't try to get good mileage with it. And the F150 has seriously impressed me. It is much more refined and smoother off road (So much so that my wife was the one that noticed it compared to my GMC) and although it is slow it will pull all day with unbelievable amounts of low end torque. Something that LS engines do not have. Off road so far it has not let me down and I don't expect it to.
I am so impressed with how this 1997 F150 does on and off road on the still stock suspension that it came with from the factory. And since Fords 5.0 and Ecoboost engines are top dogs (IMO) right now, I would be hard pressed to buy anything but a Ford truck right now.
I for one am excited to see what GM brings to the table for the 2014 trucks.
We have owned other vehicles also but I don't have photos in photobucket so I can't post them now.
My dad owned a 2006 Regular Cab Hemi Ram (2WD) and that is why I wanted the same but 4x4.
And now my parents own a 2005?(I think) Honda Accord and my dad daily drives a 2002?(I think) Dakota that has about 330k. Motor and trans were replaced with used ones after 280K and my dad loves that little truck. They work it hard hauling parts for his shop and it never lets him down.
My Dad is (was I should say) a GM guy at heart. But after the 2007 Expedition he really likes Ford now.
Anyway sorry for the wall of text but that was my .02 million cents...lol
