Trucks & Brand Name Loyalty

It's a comfort thing for me. I know what to expect (good and bad).

There is absolutely nothing wrong with liking what you like. I know Leo and Jose love their Fords (along with a lot of others in here) as much as we love our trucks.

What my family drives. My Dad has never owned a Ford, but has owned many GM's and Mopars which is why I like them. My Grandpa only drives GM and he hates when he has to drive the Ford 3 ton.

Having people loyal to different brands is a great thing for everyone. It keeps the competition stiff and the consumer is the one the generally wins with improved product offerings. I think a healthy rivalry is good.

I was born and raised in a chevy family and have owned many chevy cars and trucks. When I went looking for a new truck, I didn't like the looks of the new chevys, or that they didn't have a short bed. I liked how the ford looked it came with the crew cab and short bed. If I was looking to buy today, I'd look a toyota and gmc before a ford. I think the new ford is butt ugly.

I was raised around bowties....the entire family had them even all the farm vehicles were GMC or Chevy, the cars were all Gm products too. The wifes family are Mopar and Chevy fans. Ive owned Fords GMs and Dodges and all of them had their faults, Id still look at a GM first, but if I can get the"same" truck from another company for a better price......Id probably jump ship.

I was raised around GM cars and trucks. So I guess it's in my blood. I like the looks of other brands but am stuck on GM.

Every time I see one of the new Dodge trucks with some lift and a good set of meaty tires, I want to go to Dodge and make a deal. I don't think there has been another truck in recent years that looked so damn good with bigger tires and a mild lift.

That dodge does look badass! And my family has always been a GM family. We have had Ford Vehicles in the past and have always had problems with them. Not saying that all of our GM vehicles have been perfect but all of them have gone 150k plus with very few problems.

We've been a GM family my entire life. My grandfather started and retired from GM a number of years ago. My mom put in over 30+ at a GM facility (which was sold a few years ago). We always had GMs and honestly, it was because that was easiest with Mom's job plus a discount.

Last year, for the first time in her entire life, my mom bought a new car that wasn't a GM. She literally has never had anything but GM but wanted a change of scenery and bought something that GM just didn't offer, an Acura TSX. I must say, it's a fantastic car. I'm not sure I understand the whole fanboy mentality better than anyone else. Why don't we give everything a shot? I know many speak from years upon years of family experience but as we all know, with every new redesign, the vehicles are completely different than their past predecessors. There are vast differences between my Dad's Sierra and my Silverado despite his only being a few years newer. Brand equality is getting truer. If brands aren't as good as others, they're dying. Its as simple as that.

If I had the coin right now, I'd probably be in a Dodge Ram or a Subaru WRX (vastly different vehicles...I know haha). to diversity!!
