You would have to see which connection you have. Are you getting the pump assembly with the sending unit or just the pump itself.

No matter what you do.....we're gonna need a writeup! :D but you're probably gonna cheat and do it at school with all the fancy tools. :(

How are you gonna do it? Lift the bed off or drop the tank?

I figured you'd use a lift, but that's not the fancy tool I was talking about. :)

I always take the vin# to the dealer and cross reference. I just lied, I just buy the m/fer from the dealer. That way I know I got the right one. Fuel pump, that is. :D

97 K1500 5.7L. Replaced wires w/napa, plugs w/ac delco, dizzy cap w/napa and rotor button w/napa. Checked gap on plugs and were already pre gapped to .060 according to the sticker on the radiator support.

I bet its that shitty ethenal gas were using causing this.

Most plugs do come gapped for .060, but the sticker on the rad support is there to tell you what you're supposed to gap them to, not what they are gapped at when you buy them...

Though, the AC Delco plugs are the only ones I've purchased that have been pre-gapped at .060.

Chances are it's fuel pump. What were your fuel pressures?

However, like Gary said, it could be the spider, as well... The S-Series had the same problem.
