That's quite the list... I'd love to have all that stuff and know how to use it. But I think the wife might kill me if I spent all that at once..

My justification is that we spend $xx,000 on these trucks, so putting one more truck payment towards keeping it in tip top shape is worth it.

That's exactly how I see it. I don't plan on ever selling my truck so why not take care of it? The more you take of it, the longer it will last!

Yeah, that's the exact thing I am thinking I'll tell the wife when I get up the courage to tell her I want that..

Definitely! Let me add another point:

With the supplies you can buy, you can do a full detail with excruciating attention to everything. I'm talking full on interior cleaning, outside paint correction (swirls, etc), polishing, waxing, etc, etc. The whole 9 yards and then some.

To pay someone reputable to put that much attention into a full detail would cost somewhere upwards of $500. It would usually be more, though, considering the size of our trucks and level of detail we're talking about.

If you are buying from scratch, you can get everything you need for around $500....possibly less. When you think about it, though, that $500 buys your supplies. Supplies that will last at least 10 full details, as opposed to paying someone to detail it only once. Consider the cost of paying someone to give a full detail 10 times. When you do the math, buying your own supplies is the only way to go.

State refund came in. :ohnoes:

May or may not wait on the federal to go through.

Now I'm up in the air as to whether I should buy a bunch of detailing supplies to restock, or to buy only what I really need and use up what I have while adding on a new remote start....

I agree, Matt. To have somebody do that, would be so costly. I have a lot of money tied up in supplies, but it has paid dividends when I have sold vehicles that I have polished and detailed. It is undeniable.

I think the attention you give when you detail yours, would cost about $600-$700 around here. (if it was grimey to start with, that is)

I will likely re-stock with Adam's after I get done with the Tahoe. I want to do it now, but I have so much Meguiar product that I need to get through. I will get the Adam's for the Silverado :)
