Pulling my 24' parachute drops mine to between 7 and 8 MPG. My guess is it weighs in somewhere around 3200 lbs - boat, motor and trailer.
SHAZAAAM!

That makes me feel better! :D

I guess I should throw in the fact that Southern Indiana has a lot of hills so that also contributes to the poor mileage. The fact that I'm pulling a giant box around does the worst damage though, for sure.

I'm sure that isn't exactly helping your aerodynamics. A bit like pulling a large sail.

I can't say I've ever checked it. I guess I don't really care what my mileage is. Very rarely do I check it even doing normal driving.

I rarely check mine. More of a curiosity thing than a thing of substance.

Towing my boat/motor/trailer @ 2800 lbs. I am getting about 14-15 on the Hwy @65. If I get it over 1800 rpms, I am drinking loads more gas, but who cares if you piss people off driving slow in the fast lane? I know I don't!: dunno:

I don't tow anything or haul anything except for my fat ass and I get anywhere between 11.3 - 12.4 mpg with city driving, it's awesome.

Heavist I've hauled as about Saturn Ion and a bed full of house. From Ft. Worth to Columbus, GA I stopped twice for gas at the end of my fuel range which was about 350+ miles. I kept the speedometer between 60 and 65 and never gunned it.

With the 22 gallon tank that's about 15mph.

Without towing anything and sticking between 60/65 I can get up to 18 to 20mph. I've gone 240 miles on half a tank before and done the same trip and gotten in with 1/4, all about the gas pedal.
