So the flames are on the truck, here are pictures of the sides. Tomorrow morning, we will begin cutting and buffing to eliminate and paint lines, dirt and orange peel. No more pictures after this until the truck is assembeled and completed. Believe me when I tell you that this thing pops in person, the color schemes on the flames changed about 12 times and then again when we got to the shop. It was nice to have a full mixing rig at our disposal, any color we could imagine can be made from a full mixing rig!

The flames are Tribal style, with a marbled charcoal black base, then we sprayed a heavy metallic silver on the front end of the truck and partially back on the fender. after the silver we sprayed a candy blue over the whole set of flames, this blue turns green on a black base and blue on a silver base. We are not sure just yet what happens on the green base of the truck. In the morning, we will pull the truck out of the booth and see it in the sunlight and what really happens!

Oh yeah, after the flames were completed, they were shaded to give them a 3D effect. If you look closely, there are also flames below the lower body line on the truck. If you think this is easy, guess again. It took 6 hours to lay out the flames and tape them up before we began painting.

Enjoy the pics!
