I'm crazy, but it's paid for!!
nah, the orange peek is not really bad, we used s/w ultra 7000 series clear and then ran it slow so it would flow out with little orange peel. Jimmy (my painter friend) is picky about his sanding and buffing. There are a lot of paint lines and texture from the flames to get out. Not to mention, there is a lot of metal to cut and buff. He spent 8 hours sunday on the two front fenders and he is not happy yet. The buffing goes in 3 stages, compound, finish glaze, and then there is a new final stage using a blue buff pad. No micro scratches, no swirl marks, etc.
80 hours may be a little much, but it will take a while for jimmy to be happy with it.
P.S. I will go fishing when ever I want (as long as my wife say it's okay). I need a break, been running 80-90 hours a week for the last 3-4 weeks and all spare time spent working on the truck. I was at the shop for 14 hours on saturday, and 12 on sunday. I will be out of town until friday night (including my fishing trip on wednesday and thursday)!!!!!
