It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
I had to replace my 2 year old battery last winter. It was dark, snowing and -5°F

I wanted to go with an Optima but couldnt' find one locally. So I ended up just going to Napa and getting one of theirs.

I believe that's the one I got. Not quite the CCA as some others out there, but it seems good. Started the truck after it sat for 3.5 days in the sub zero weather. Can't be all that bad. :dunno:

How much was that battery at your local NAPA?

STAY AWAY FROM NAPA BATTERIES!!! don`t get me started. My bro bought an optima and had also poor results, and Have seen poor results with interstate batteries and energizer in the past, Delcos have been good to me. Always get the highest CCA that will fit and you`ll be much happier.

Thanks for the warning (now!) :jester:

**Edit - I checked the file cabinent and my Napa battery was $122! :willy: That's what I get for not "comparison shopping." :uhoh:

My Delco took a shat after 2yrs. My Napa has lasted 47% of that.

But Then again, my parents now have my 99 and just replaced the original Delco in it this spring. :dunno:

the original delco in my GMC died two years ago, only cause it was my fault, drained it to zero, it never fully recovered and didn`t make it through the winter, it lasted 10 years. and my truck sits, ALOT.

Ok, the truck just started, so I'm off to bring the kids to school and get a new battery from Advance auto Parts! :D

Ok, I just went and got the new battery. They actually changed the name of the Titanium batteries to "Gold" now. So I bought an Autocraft Gold with a 3 year free replacement warranty for 90 bucks. Heres what I got......

I'm not a fan of to much of anything from Autozone, but the Duralast batteries seem to hold up good. I've had one in the truck for 6 years.
