Toyota did not get a V6 engine untill 1988 so a 1986 will have a I4 in it.
I had a 1988 V6 4x4 sometimes I still wish i had it.

No it's an automatic, which blows, but I will deal with it.

I would do it depending on the specs trucks like that here that clean would be 7000 all day no matter what the mileage. Plus if it was taken care of it will last a long time and the fiberglass bed will eliminate the most rust pron part so it should be good
