So lately I have been thinking about selling my evo. I just haven't really been that impressed with it, and don't feel like spending the money on custom tunes. I am never hard on my truck and rarely use the potential of it. Even when I first put the edge on my truck I wasn't that impressed with it, I thought spending a few hundred would do more for me than what it did. What do you guys think? Should I sell it? Anyone else had this feeling about theirs?

I absolutely love my Gryphon! I highly recommend custom tunes too. I wouldn't get rid of mine...just my thoughts

Don't know too much about the handheld tuners for Fords. I'd bet that if you post it here or on a F150 site, it'll sell though.

try these settings...

here are my settings
i put down 220hp and 250ftlbs before bumping my timing a degree and WOT 1.80 from 1.30

91 tune -
torque converter settings at max positive values
timing= +1.00
WOT=1.80
firmness= 12-12-0
rev limiter 5700
shift points= 1-2 5250 2-3 5400 3-4 5000

i know you don't run your truck hard but these setting here made my truck a lot easier to cruise and get up to speed and keep it. and i get about 16MPG city :)

I might give those a try. My tires are a huge killer on mpg's though. And I get tired of putting 91 in my tank.

I've been more than happy with mine, but I have upgraded to custom tunes through PHP. Pretty much always running the 93 performance tune. If money gets really tight I'll drop it down to the 87 performance, but that rarely happens.

I can tell you that when I sent my Edge in to be converted to a Gryphon (custom tunes), it was sorely missed. The difference was insane. I was honestly disappointed with the truck stock and couldn't wait to get it back.

Set it back to stock for a week or two and then put it back in. You will notice a difference.

I recommend the custom tunes as well. I run mine on the 87 performance 90% of the time, I honestly can't tell a huge difference between that and the 93 performance. The main difference I can tell is with the transmission, it makes it so much nicer to drive.
