I want to see one of the new models painted up in this style. (Except maybe the white roof)

The Z/28 nameplate is still better known than ZL-1. Maybe they're intending to retain a standard for nameplates closer to Corvette...

It is somewhat upseting that it is not a z28 because zl1 makes it seem unattainable but maybe its just me :dunno:
:werd: The ZL-1 was the rarest of the rare and bad to the bone. I don't know why they just didn't stick with the z28.

Because Z28 slots below the SS. Naming it Z28 would have been stupid.
I think you need to go read up on your Camaro history. The z/28 was the top dog back in the day.

Oh, no you di'int.

So is this a limited deal or did Chevy just decide to use the ZL1 name on a mass produced vehicle? I'm sure there will be more then 69 of these built, but just how many? All in all it's a good looking car, but I could do without the foglight pods. They look out of place in my opinion, but that's not really an issue in the end. Nice work GM.

I'm sure GM will build as many as people want to buy.

So it's not a limited car then. Why use the ZL1 name over the Z/28 name? Is there any plans for the world to ever see the Z/28 again?
