The G80 seems to last only when used on the street...

Offroading is what seems to kill it...

I know mine doesn't always lock up anymore :ohnoes:

I might look at a truetrac for the rear and put a locker only in the front...

I enjoy drifting in the winter

I expect reviews of the truetrac

cool. my dad doesnt have the right tools to align and check backlash and whatnot to properly install the gears/truetrac or we would be doing the same thing lol.
You'll get them in soon enough. I'm committed now, no turning back at this point.
It's not my first gear set though, it's been several years since the last one I've done so I'm a little rusty. Once I get everything cleaned up the install/ setup will begin.

my dad was a master tech for a long time, i bust on him that he doesnt have the right tools for the job and he wants to take the easy way out haha. he laughed at me when i told him that later on i would like to install a cam/stall. he told me i would drop the trans, not him haha.

TrueTracs are great. I installed one in my '90 Silvy after the stock carrier broke right at the carrier bearing, it was pretty common on the 88-90.

I put an Auburn posi in my Chevelle, and my Camaro, and I really like those for the money.

I had the standard Deroit Locker front and rear in my Jeep, but ultimately ended up with a spool after shattering the last one LOL. It was easier to just trailer the damn thing to the mountains.

Sorry to ramble, I think you are going to love it Jarrod, and the 4.10s are going to just ROCK!

Axle seal and axle bearing removals added to the OP. She is now a bare housing ready for cleaning and rebuilding.
