Let me know if you need to borrow anything this time! Don't be spendin' any more money on tools that can go for cool parts, damn it!
 Come on Scott, that's half the fun in starting a project. Buying new tools is just part of it. Seriously though I will give you a shout if I need something, when this project gets done the cam install is coming. So I may need a thing or three.

Looks great Jarrod!

How come you didn't just remove the axle from the truck to do all this? Or do you have a fancy-shancy lift?

I'd like to add one small thing:
Gear oil STINKS. Be careful what you wear and what you get it on. If you do manage to get the smell out, it will take forever. I just always wear the same oily shirt and use paper toweling to dry my hands. Also, keep the waste away from wherever people walk and out of in-closed areas. The smell spreads FAST.

Nice write up Jarrod. :)

Looks great for the mileage. I bet the truck looks funny sitting in the parking lot like that. Sucks that you couldn't do it on the ship.

Well you had it easy. Try removing all that when the 8mm bolt is broke off (a very common problem) and then you have to try and get it out, then how about when the big pin won't come out and you have to use a torch to melt the carrier in half to get it all apart. That's when it's fun

I think that's what happens when you wait for the G80 to break before you replace it...

Oh yeah and if you read around on pt.net all the big guys running trutracs will tell you there is no break in period on gears, if you are gonna run the truck hard then run it hard from the get-go. This ain't 1975 anymore

And there's lots of people that would run 17s on the track that are breaking them :jester:

I have actually read about more holding up than ones that break. In my case since I was changing gears it just made sense to change the carrier and upgrade while I was in there.
