about the 08+ mirrors this was posted from another forum im on regarding the install and quality

Well my new mirrors arrived yesterday and thanks to all the others who have posted their installation tips and wiring diagrams I had both sides done in just over an hour. All I can say is WOW I can see for days behind me with the new mirrors.
On a side note I now have a set of 06 tow mirrors, power, heat, lights off my King Ranch is anyone is interested, they are painted Oxford White.

I will agree that the 08+ mirrors have a great field of vision and you can see the blind spots pretty well going down the highway, BUT the lower convex portions absolutely suck for backing up a trailer. It seems like the convex angle changes along the width or something, because judging trailer placement and distance is horrible. The previous Chevy I had with the smaller telescoping trailer mirrors with only once convex corner spotting portion was much easier to judge with.

SIK!!!!!! I'm bias against the regular mirrors I love the look of tow mirrors but this truck is gorgeous!!!!
