Does anybody have any experience changing plugs in a f150? its a 4.6 and doesnt have the plug breaking issues as a 5.4 is but im still seeking advice as to which brand plugs. Alot of people suggest factory motorcraft and others think NGK and other makers are best. Any opinions? :dunno:

Re: Spark Plugs

I have a 03 with the 5.4 . I know not exactle the same but ...I changed my plugs a couple months ago at a little over 100,000 miles . I had just purchased the truck a few months prior and had been checking the mileage , 11 1/2 to 12 MPG :( Soo I did a lot of research on plugs with tons of different opionions. I decided to try the E3 plugs ...now I get right at 17 1/2 MPG . That is the only thing I changed and am very happy with them . Since then I have put 20,000 miles on the truck and still getting the MPG's

If the OEM lasted that long, I'd get the same. I never had problems in anything I put NGKs into either.

Re: Spark Plugs

From what I have read, Motorcraft is the way to go.

I agree stick with them. Now on my baby I have the whole MSD set up and NGK's have done me right in fact I have new ones im just lazy to change them the last time I changed them example if there should be at 20' they were at 80' and my baby was still running good.
