I have a Weller. It works better than any I have ever had and it heats up fast.

Got it from Newegg. Here's one pretty much like it. (mine is a few years old)

I have several. I like my Snap On butane the best. It is just a Weller with Snap on branded on it.

My buddy that is a mechanic has a Snap on butane and it works really well. He said it was kind of expensive though.

That is why I mentioned it was made by Weller. See if they have a Weller on Amazon

Found a kit for $59.00 on amazon. Little more than I wanted to spend, but will keep it in mind.

I want to get a butane one also. I have 3 corded irons and by far I like my Weller Thermaboost the best. I got it from Lowes for about $30. I also like that it has 5 different tips, including a hot knife.

I have this one and it's probably 10 years old and still works like a charm. I find the "pen" style ones a pita. But then again, this is pretty much the only one I've used so I'm used to it.

I had that one a few years ago. Till one day i was under truck with it on a semi cool day. It was taking FOREVER to heat up the wire and it pissed me off so i smashed it on the concrete and used my dads pistol grip one similar to the ones posted. It was cheap and smashing it made me feel better about it.

i have the harbor freight special. does the job and its cheap enough to not worry about replacing it if it breaks.
