Smoking my taillights, opinions? (UPDATED)

I think it looks good but I would not do it to mine. Too paranoid about some idiot "not seeing" my brake lights.

What did you use? The two methods I've seen are VHT and mixing a small amount of black paint in automotive clear (done professionally).

It's different. I like things that set you apart from everybody else.

So do I, but function beats looks. Would have rather done all the light but I need the reverse lighting cause of the tinted windows.

Three step method, adhesion promoter, then reduced black base-coat, then clear. Check out my write-up in the next hour or so.

It will look just as good on those taillights, as long as you don't overdue it and black'em out completely.

thats why yah get LED's!!! If you cant see mine.. you just didnt look. LED tails and LED light bar FTW!!!

Let's see.. Smoke the tails, so you can spend more money on LED's, so that Johnny Law can make-up some b/s excuse to pull me over....... OR leave it all stock and give him one less reason to have him go "yeah, I'm going to pick on THAT GUY tonight!"

Personally, I get enough attention from law enforcement.. I don't need to give 'em more excuses to pull my ass over!
