Really it is personal preference on which you would want to go with. We had an AWD, but also lived in Virginia for much of its life.

2WD is quicker and a lot less expensive to keep alive - plus it will get a little better MPG - and you don't live in the land of snow or ice.

Actually, the 2WD has 3.73 gears and the AWD 4.10s, so the AWD gets off the line quicker.

I would say lower, but really it depends on how badly you want it. I think KBB for excellent is ~17K.
