The I-beam trucks droveawful and ate tires. I don't know anybody who liked them but farmers and ranchers. They were rugged but performed terribly. Ford actually went to IFS setup because sales were dropping on the I-beam trucks.

I really like the Twin Traction Beam Ford ran for a while. I especialy like it under the Ranger. When biult right they performed very well in different terrains. Plus, Ford brought the Twin I Beam back. Now it is used on the two wheel dribe Super Duties.

Yes. I have identified everything I need for this build. I found a good but cheap lift on Evilbay and I found out Explorer springs will do the job I need in the rear. I have a few suspension components I have to replace due to wear and tear. Once I budget everything in, I can start building a pile.

Not including the parts I need for general repairs (stuff I have to do anyway) I am looking at around $200 to convert this truck to a pretty decent trail rig. That included a Explorer 8.8 withy disk brakes, 4:10 gears, and a traction aid. I wish I could stumble onto a set of black rims, but there is no money for that. The stock aluminum rims I have are in good shape and will do the job. Now that the truck runs great I do plan to ad an electric fan and I have a cone filter on a shelf. I am going to attempt making an air intake but I am not hopeful on that.
