Looks like a simple coil spacer would lift that front end enough for what you want.

I agree. I have been looking at them but not many are safe. I did just find a set made from billet aluminum. I think that one might be the ticket.

I've used the hard rubber coil spacers before. Worked like a champ and no squeaking. The stiffen the spring too. My brother used them on an S10 Blazer for several years.

I used them many moon ago and had good luck with them. But a lot of people have told not to do it now because they fall about so quickly. Plus, the sets I have found at the parts store are only an inch and a quarter without any weight on them.

Thats weird, I had a 95 explorer 2wd. I was able to crank the torsion bars to raise the front up to fit 31x10.5's.

Yip. My 2000 Explorer was torsion bars, but my 98 B4000 was coil springs. 98 up Rangers/Mazdas had a new suspension setup. Previous years had a version of the Ford twin I beam.

This is one reason i prefer the first gen Rangers. They had much simpler suspensions.

ACK! The independent front suspension trucks drive a TON better than the old I-beam trucks. Man those were awful.
