I have decided to go with a permanent two inch lift on my 2000 two wheel drive Ranger. I have been doing a lot of reading about the various kits out there. I have read that the rubber spacers from the parts store fall apart rather quick. I have also read about evilbay horror stories about the cheap ones turning out to be junk as well. I have seen the high end kits that sell for around $100 and up but I cannot swing that much money right now. I have seen some mention of homemade kits but have not seen any details on them. All I am trying to do is get a couple of inches to improve ground clearance and clear 31 inch tires. The places I go in the woods are not too terribly challenging. Any suggestions on an affordable kit that will do the job without costing a whole lot?

I already have two and a half body lifts sitting on a shelf in my shed. Originally, I planned to use on on this Ranger. But for various reasons I decided a two inch suspension kit would fit this particular application better.

100 bucks is damn cheap for a reliable lift. Other than making your own I don't know how to beat that.

For the suspension, there are dozens of two inch kits out there. Which is where my problem comes into play. There are so many I am having trouble sorting through the bad and the over priced.

I agree, $100 for s quality kit is a good way to go. But I just cannot swing that right now. I know there are safe alternatives out there, but I cannot seem to find them now that I am looking.
