You can't powdercoat plastic.

Like my temporary cardboard platform of death? lol

I punched a hole in the cardboard, slipped through speaker wire and tied it to my dipstick, in case they flop around, this way it wouldn't fall down where I couldn't find or grab it.

Man you sure are going all out on this thing. It is going to be one sweet Saturn. I know most don't care for them, but I like them and they are easy to work on. Wish more would take interest.

Right now I'm trying to find a good drivers seat for a friends 94 Saturn. It is in bad shape and no luck around here in the salvage yards.

Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks, I'll keep my eye out at any salvage yards. Has your friend tried searching here? www.car-part.com you can search by zip code I've found some parts that way.

Welded around the boxes the LCA's bolt to for strength. Powdercoated the cradle in 3 coats of the Antique Silver Vein I had a surplus of which I never used only to find out it's a COMPLETELY different color than the silver vein I was using on the other stuff. I actually think it's much nicer, much much darker, basically it has no silver in it.

Tried pcoating right over the silver vein on the the rear cross member but it turned out like garbage. So it was stripped and redone it in the antique silver vein the match the cradle.

The front sway bar which originally didn't come out great in the regular silver vein powder I had left over also was stripped and pcoated in the Harley Black Pearl metallic (same color used on the brake calipers and the rear AMR strut tie bar we just powdercoated which also looks sweet).

We also powdercoated the AMR front tie bar in a super durable white gloss.
