The powder came out looking exactly like the Rootbeer candy (bike frame I found online before deciding on the lighter more vibrant copper transparent) Each pic has the sample swatch next to it, they look NOTHING alike.
I have to sand down the UCA's and respray base and top coat all over again. Build up on the edges looks like garbage, trouble with the powder adhering to certain parts.
I have the option of respraying the coils in chrome, then just go lighter on the copper transparent. Or does the darker color look good? I'm just thinking if it's too dark it may not show well.
Bike frame I originally found online in a rootbeer candy. The rootbeer candy sample I ordered looked more like drab brown than anything which is why I went with the copper transparent.
I thought you guys would say that, my wife loved the color as is too. No Robert, I wasn't gonna leave them in the chrome powder, that's what is used as the basecoat. I figured if it were all a little bit lighter (not like the swatch but inbetween) it might stand out better. But If everyone thinks it's more of a sadistic looking color then I will go with it.
Only problem now is the anodizing on the coilover body that KING had done for me might be closer to the swatch since they matched the swatch I sent them, which might look weird..or is a variance of the color a good thing?
