It's up to you, but I left the CAT in, and I am glad I did. A TON less stanky.
-FLOPRO 4" Stainless cat-back with muffler for 15.5-16
-FASS 150 Platinum
-I unhooked my EGR, and left it in place, I sent the block-off kit back because it was wrong. It is up to you whether or not you want to remove it all
-Air cleaner is not necessary, but I got the S&B CAI with dry filter. I hate that stock air filter panel POS
-PPEI tow tune, and PPEI trans tune for increased main pressure.

I am going to try and put my pump on the passenger side. With our short boxes, the filters hang low because of the fill tube.

I used Thoroughbred Diesel for the exhaust, and intake (and EGR kit). Great guys. They have the pumps, too

For what y'all are doing, leaving the CAT in will make no different in performance... I didn't notice a big difference in smell, but I'm probably more used to the smell, lol.

Power wise, the stock intake is good for 600+ supposedly... But the webbing that braced the back of the filter was showing signs of stress... And they've been known to have the occasional one drop plastic into the turbo.

My '14 LML kept starting and then cutting out. Checked the primer and it seemed to be pretty tight(hard to push down). I have 80% fuel filter life remaining. Feel like I just replaced it. Truck has almost 42k miles on her and I'm about to make the last payment on her. After a bit of turning the engine over she'll start and be good for the day.

This started happening daily so I ripped the fender liner off or unfastened it and opened up the fuel/water separator. Let it drain, primed the filter again and she's been running good since.

I did read that some were having random issues with this and actually replaced filters, primer o rings or even the fuel filter housing.

This is my 3rd Duramax and never had this happen before. It was a easy solution if it's a permanent fix.

Awesome, thanks. I'll be taking the truck in on wednesday...and I'll probably be calling thoroughbred as soon as i get it back. I will not have that stupid fucking system messing with camping.

Right on. I had the same feelings this winter when it started happening to me. My vacation time is to valuable to put up with that horseshit. We head out Friday morn for a shakedown trip with the fiver. 229 miles away over one of our steeper passes

It's worth it for reliability, and that first press of the throttle after its all done, lol

I had long discussions with the boys at PPEI. I was apprehensive about going with the FASS 150 over the 95. You read lots of conjecture about the 150 possibly harming the CP4. They assured me that they rarely sell the 95 to LML owners, and since the 150 has such a small price increase they have many, many of them on the street with even stock tunes. He talked me into it, and swore that they even run the 150 in their personal trucks, with the same tune I have and a CP4. He claimed that the 15s and up are rarely in need of the CP3 conversion with the FASS 150.

Unless the regulator in the FASS siezes shut, it's pretty much impossible to hurt the CP4 with the lift pump... Whatever fuel doesn't get used is returned to the tank.

I think the rumours of the 150 wrecking injection pumps is because the people who bought 95s were jealous, and wanted to justify the difference, lol.

If GM would put a lift pump and water separator on these trucks, the CP4 would never fail. Fuel contamination and draining the fuel rails is the only way to hurt them... They don't just start falling apart on their own.
