If you are set of a 4.8 I would take a gander at this thread on tech. There are some very nice stockish 5.3's putting down some sick numbers. You can skip over the turbo theory BS in the middle of the thread.

I'm checking it out. I'm not really set on anything and prefer a 4.8, but 5.3's are way easier to find so who knows. I'll probably pick up something soon.

Torque boxes are solid. The metal that was there before is wizzzeeeak. Ordering some seats this week.
