Practice, practice and more practice. You'll get it before too long. It's a pretty steep learning curve on the machine shop floor, just don't give up. Quality machinist can make some money, better yet start their own business.

Sweet, did you do any hardening to the punch after it was machined?

Nice looking T bolts, I could use a couple of those here at work.

well after looking at all your guy's sets... I feel ashamed to show my cheap set..

Picked it up at harbor freight, just so I have a few tools around the house.

How do you like it so far? I was thinking of grabbing one of those sets to throw in the truck just in case. I have all kinds of iron working tools in my box but very little that will be useful if the truck gets an attitude.

P.S. Rock the harbor freight, almost all of my home use tools have come from there. Spend a little more on work tools but that's a given. Have a few craftsman tools but harbor freight has the same lifetime guarantee on most of their hand tools and they seem more willing to hold up that deal.

Hey sorry man, I just seen this reply. Tools have come in handy in our recent move. Most of them are pretty good quality.. The box is shit. But i suppose it works. If you pull out a drawer another one wants to come out with it.. I've dumped the whole thing before :frustration:

But I'm still glad that i have SOMETHING! The wife has a box of pink tools and i REFUSE to use them!

I looked at these before rigging my own.
Two 1"x8" boards tied into the bed hooks with eye bolts. I will dig up a pic. :D
