Portable tire inflator/air compressor

I've got one I bought years ago from Home Depot. It's Husky brand, has a light and the compressor, the hose and the cord stow in the bottom, under a screw off cap, and it even has feature that lets you dial the pressure you want and it'll shut off when it gets there. The cord is j u s t long enough to reach all 4 wheels on the g/f's Dakota but I made up an extension for it so it can be used on the trailer tires too.

Takes about 8-10 minutes to fill a stock 215/75R15

So how did you make that extension since the one end has of the compress cord already has the cig lighter plug on it?

20 feet of 14 gauge zipcord and a plug and socket from Radio Shack.

Home Depot, or anyplace else like that. It's also called lamp cord.
