Pioneer 3100DVD Video issues

For some reason i cannot get video to play from the front usb port on the radio whether its from my iphone 4s or from a flash drive.

flash drive- can even see the video files

iphone - get audio from videos and can select them but no video even with the background off.

anyone have any ideas or similar issues?

As for playing video from your iPhone/ipod you need the ipod specific cable from pioneer. You can get it from amazon for around $8 just make sure you get a genuine pioneer one. People have had lots of problems with the generic ones.

As for the usb thumb drive, I have heard that you can only play mp4s via ipod/iPhone and they have to be a different format for thumbs drives and hard drives

so even with the apple cable and getting audio with it i still need a pioneer one that wont fit into my case. GHEY

For some reason the Pioneer HUs dont support video over USB so you need one with separate video out

and they have different cord numbers for the 3100 and 4300 so when i sell the 3100 in a month i get to buy another cable haha. atleast im rolling that cost into the next buyers cost.

its been ordered and hopefully ill have this resolved by sunday.

it will play videos off flash drives and dvds but only if it is in "DivX" format, you can download converters to convert any format into DivX
