Well, in my life experiences, you get what you pay for except if you are being boned.

If this is only a trail rig and is meant to take a few bumps and bruises, do what you can afford and be prepared to repair stuff as damaged right away to prevent corrosion from setting in.

yeah ofcourse i know thats true, but the only issue i have with the 1gallon that you brush onto the surface....sometimes the texture doesnt come out even

Yep, that's why we have it sprayed on the body. But on my Disco I rolled on the rear bumper, sliders, and roof rack. I'll be doing the new front bumper as soon as it comes in. But I'm having the roof done by the LavaLining guys at the same time I have the doors done from the molding down.

Like Scott said, Herculiner fades, and will start to "show through" over time. Here is the product I used, and was really pleased with the results. It dries "harder" rather than rubbery, and it seemed to be pretty durable.
