When ever I troubleshoot an oil leak I completely clean the area with a pressure washer but brake clean will do. Take the truck for a short 5-10 mile ride. Then climb under with a flash light and have a look. I usually leave the engine running. If you find some oil around a component, wipe it off and watch the spot to see the leak drip again. I know it sounds like overkill but a little extra time troubleshooting will save you a bunch of time and money on needless repairs.

I know with synthetics in the older GMT-400s that the oil cooler lines/fittings would leak. Its certainly a possibility. :)

OK I know I posted this yesterday, what the hell happened to that post? Scotty, this is what I use, you can even make one out of square stock and an old seat belt.

Use a wrench.

On a serious note, your oil change comment made me recall a time where I had a similar problem on my '91. Come to find out, when I removed the previous oil filter, a little bit of it remained stuck to the base and when I ran the filter down on top of it, it left a small gap and that's where it was coming from.

I have had that happen a couple of times down thru the years...

That's why you need to wipe that bitch off with a lint free shop rag before installing the new filter.

Go side your house.
