New prop
The video didn't turn out but here are some pics.
I ordered another prop, this one is a "hi-power" prop which has a sharper pitch. It looks bigger than the other ones but it is the same diameter.
The results are that 13 mph is hull speed which means I can't go any faster in this green milk jug
But the "hi-power" prop provides a bunch more grunt work for less than favorable locations...
...Like debris fields
...skinny water. Got the boat in water so shallow I had to get out and push the boat back down.
...Oh, and land. I got half way out of the water before the transom clamp gave and the engine jumped into the boat. I got the welder out today and made some changes so that won't be happening again. Extended the jaw in question and made room for two 4" C clamps to provide additional force. BTW, this was from a standstill. I drifted to the bank and bumped up against it before I tried climbing up.
Wish I could afford a 12-14 foot jon boat, then I could really do some crazy stuff.
Oh, and somebody didn't tie their boat up before the flood.
