Seems like it'd render a lot of your truck useless. I mean, the drawers are handy and all, and I suppose the idea is that you could still haul plywood or drywall on top of the deck? :dunno:

I guess for a lot of cases it'd be handy. Certainly better than tossing all that crap loose in your bed

Do you even tie down, bro?

:jester:

Seriously, I think the load rating is sufficient for most things AverageJoeHomeowner might haul in half ton. I immediately envisioned throwing my GM bedmat on it, and with a good set of tie-downs, I think you could rule the day.

Just my humble opinion. I am always looking for creative ways to get shit to point B. I have previously utilized some less than ideal methods :D2

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
I am the KING of tying things down.

I was thinking of something like a dishwasher or washing machine. Or furniture. But I am just a weekend warrior.

I've seen people build basically the same exact setup out of plywood and sheet metal. I was actually considering building one for my Suburban. Basically just a raised floor behind the third row seat with two drawers in it. I think it would come in pretty handy. If I remember right, a company actually sells one made out of plastic for the Suburban. But I read all the reviews and almost everyone said it was a cheap POS, not sturdy at all. If you put anything on top of it, the top bowed in and you couldn't open the drawers.

My brother has a HD truck with a tool box well he had some company make him a tarp to cover up the rest of the bed for the reason is when he has stuff back there on a trip it doesn't get wet in fact he has tested it out and it keeps things dry.
