Look at the second jeep in the link I posted. He just welded his cage. You could easily add on to that design for your roof rack.

yeah thats what i wanna do, but since my dad is helping me and i am using his shop he says if we put a roll cage he will be more worried

If you slide into a tree or something you'll want those metal pipes to take the impact more than the relatively thin body. Just tell him safety first...and like I said, it will give you a better base for the rack on top.

i can just built the rack with him then maybe a week later stay at the shop late and finish the roll cage lol
