How are they in snow?

I haven't had them in snow, they are rated good on both TireRack and Discount. I doubt they will be great on ice though, there isn't a lot of siping in the tread.

The tires listed for $220 apiece (Discount Tire) + mounting/balancing/etc. I traded my stock tires with 3k miles and haggled some with the manager and ended up getting the set for $796 mounted/balanced/out the door.

With the snow and heavy clay mud we have around here, a narrow tire that cuts through and "hits bottom" tends to have more traction than a wide tire which floats on top of the slick stuff. The narrower tires also allow me to run a little taller tire on the stock rims without rubbing on the control arms like some of the wider ones do. I actually have clearance in the fender wells to run an even taller tire, but if I went much wider, I would rub at full lock.

Gotcha. Did you notice any performance decrease from the taller rubber?
