I think you might still have trouble even with the JB Weld because there just isn't enough surface area. Is there any way that you can maybe JB Weld a piece of angle iron or aluminum or really anything that you can attach both to the broken piece and to the main part of the handle? That way it would give more surface area to hold that piece down against the spring load. Just a though. Good luck!

After getting rid of the old epoxy and looking at it I'm gonna have to use something to build it up some or support it. I'll see if I have some extra medal or something around

The GM handles are all riveted together, I took one look at my 06 handles and said no way. Sorry about your luck Jeff.:(

They are $95 a piece already PTM'd for your truck from Tasca. So I thought I'd do it this way, hell that $95 is looking good right about now

:frustration:

Yeah this has by far been the most tidious thing I've done to this truck. Since everything is plastic you have to be super careful!

It's fucking annoying, the way they set up the handles is very very difficult to do anything with. You have to use force/tension yet it's all plastic :willy:

Dang man hate to hear this. It really is a bad design as far as trying to disassemble. Let me know if i can help.

Hey jarrod, on the GM handles just drill the head off that rivet, and then go back with a painted wood screw. (sounds rigged but it works great)
