The other day I addressed the driver seat. I tore the passenger seat apart, cleaned and repaired it before I installed them. the driver seat I planned on getting to later. The seat was very uncomfortable and I felt like I was sitting in it. When I tore it down a bunch of dirt fell out along with the lumbar support bar that spans the upper portion of the seat frame. It appears the welds broke. I fixed that and cleaned all the soft material. The seat potion loss some tension springs and the foam fell down between the frame and tension wires. I replaced the springs and laid a piece of laminated cardboard over the whole lower seat frame. It conforms to the frame and tension wires but will not allow the foam to fall back down. Now the seat feels great. I drove the fours hors one way to visit my family and my back felt great when I arrived.

I agree, I think 31 inch tires are as big as I should go. I was going to regear to 4:10, but it feels kind of low now. I want to see how it does in the interstate with the stock 3:73s. If it is too much of a pig I will look for a rear with 4:10s when I am ready for my rear end swap.

Well, I could not wait any long the get the tires done. Thefront tire was patched some time back and I knew it would not hold forever.Plus two of the rear tires had some uneven wear from a messed up alignment. Iwas hoping to paint the rims before I installed the new tires. That way I did nothave to worry about masking. I will come up with something for the rims at alater date. I think the tires fit great. Even the matching spare tie fits underthe truck perfectly.

Ride report:

These heavier and thicker tires have balanced out the ridenicely. The truck handle better, hits bumps better and just drives nicer. I amdo not notice any parasitic loss either. I am looking forward to my nest roadtrip to see how they do on the interstate.
