My gear ratio please! Help!

By the tag, it is a 3.07 unless the gears have been changed at some time. It was a pretty common ratio in the older Cherokees.

its a 91 with a manual transmission so it sounds understandable right?

Yeah, that was a pretty common ratio, especially with the manual.

does this mean my gear ratio is 3.07?!
i know the picture isnt great but any help would be appreciated!

I havent ever been able to track down gear ratios by tag number-good luck on that. But the ol spin the tire and watch the turn of the drive shaft does the trick. I beleive you have to turn the power wheel 2 full times and what the shaft turns is your ratio. It works and is pretty dead on-hope that helps ya. Sorry about earlier no hard feelings i hope.

i replied back, what do you mean a bolt stuck in it?!

he said one of the differential bolts for the cover pan....so should i just switch it or?
