So we have been thinking about getting a more "bigger family" friendly vehicle lately. We've done some driving and comparing, and have pretty much decided on a Tahoe/Yukon or Suburban, depending on what deal we can find.

We are pretty much leaning towards trading/selling both the Impala and the truck towards a new(er) vehicle. KBB for both vehicles looks fairly promising:

2002 Chevy Silverado Ex. Cab 4wd
109000 miles
bed liner
minor scratches behind rear tire
Trade in: ~$8500

2008 Chevy Impala SS
55,000 miles
1 ding on the hood from a rock...
new tires
Trade in: ~$11000

Do these sound pretty reasonable to yall? Thats what KBB gave for our area for vehicles in "good" condition.

Also, we are looking at used Tahoes, and they are pretty price around here (or at least pricy to me...). A 2009 Texas Edition with 80,000 miles is going for around $25,000. I don't really know what these should be used. I would like 2010 or newer and less than 50,000 miles, power moving pedals (height difference between me and the wife make this a must), and 4wd. KBB has them for around $32,000. Sound high/low/just right?

Any other thoughts/opinions?

I would check out your local dealership for a new Yukon/Tahoe, they will need to offload them soon.

If your dealer has any 2012s left, they are dealing big time. They are almost all gone here... but I'd look into it.

The local dealerships are out of new 2012's, every now and then they get used...but they don't last long on the lot. Drove by and some some new used ones, gonna go look at them in a bit. Otherwise driving up to Amarillo tomorrow to see what they have.

Good luck with the hunt. Your trade numbers seem really high, but I'm not a car dealer.

I though the truck was high, but from what I'm seeing, everything around here seems high. Hell, in excellent condition, they listed my truck at 8900 for trade in, and 11300 for private sell.

Sure hope you get what you're looking for and at a decent price.I can attest to the versatility of a 'Burb....a 4x8 sheet of plywood will fit in the back.Likewise with 10' 2x4s

Eric,
You may want to go online and look at Chevy / GMC dealers here in the metroplex...
May find a better deal than out there.
