Thanks guys! I think we will really enjoy this. That car was just getting too small and I wasn't trusting the transmission on the truck to last on any long trips anymore

Well after driving around today we saw a bunch of high priced vehicles. Headed home, saw 2 tahoes at a Hyundai dealership. Stopped in and looked, one was 2wd and one 4wd, both around 30000 miles and 35900 and 37900 pricewise. Test drove both, both ran well and were extremely clean, cheaper than anything else we have seen.
Get to talking to a sales guy, he asks what we are looking for, what we are planning to do, ballpark for our trade ins. I give him the "good" KBB prices (Impala was in a wreck 3 years ago, truck 4 years ago). his manager says he will give us $2000 more for the car, $1500 less for the truck than what I asked for. It came out to a little more than I actually expected them to give us (my truck is getting kinda rough with the miles and everything), especially since they never even asked to see the truck.
We think about it for a bit. I also checked on prices up in Amarillo (economy is not nearly as good there), and all the prices I could find were listed higher than these, with more miles/less options.
Manager comes out, says he will go down $900 on both Tahoes. That, plus us not having to drive 4+ hours with both vehicles to maybe find something cheaper pretty much sold us. We ended up getting a 2012 Tahoe LT2 4wd with 27000 miles (yeah, it had 6000 miles less than they told us, another plus). Lifetime oil changes at any Lithia dealership. Bumper to bumper warranty for 60 mo or 75000 miles, engine/powertrain for 60 mo or 100,000 miles.
Our monthly payments are $300 (car was basically nothing to begin with) higher than our car was, insurance is $100 less, and we have a much better travel vehicle. All in all I'm happy we found something by accident. Now I just need to find a beater jeep.
Damn, sounds like you did pretty well. Maybe I should trade my truck off while im down here.
I have to agree. Cell phones need cameras on them for moments just like this. I think I may write some manufacturers and tell them how helpful a camera on a phone that's connected to the internet might be.

I agree with you guys. Why else pay out the wazzu for something you can only talk on...
I've only had a phone with the ability to take AND send picks for about a month now... sometimes I forget it can do MAGIC!
