can you describe to me "pinning the crank".

:)
The stock crank pulley is held in place on the crank with nothing more than a LOT of torque and friction of its fitment. When you add the power of a supercharger, and the resultant pulls on the crank pulley, the forces can add up to be enough to cause the crank pulley to spin on the crank itself, which is bad. Pinning the crank means drilling through the pulley, into the crank, and adding a small metal "pin" that goes through both, so that they will always spin together. This makes sure that the crank pulley will not spin on the crank.

Thanks Carl, thats kinda what i figured. :)

that must be something different on LS motors, my 454 had a keyed balencer and the lower pulley bolted on.
