I not legal here in Va longs I got flags and whatever I'm carrying secured to the rack. I was hauling a 16ft wood walk board that rotted out on it yesterday. On the way home had state trooper 3 cars behind me and state trooper turned off while I kept going.

Yeah, those red flags aren't of the greatest quality being that they don't need to be since most people just use them to get something from one location to another, not leave the safety hazard on their truck forever. But that's OK. The pink matches you well. Just tell everyone you're a Breast Cancer Awarness supporter.

As long as you intend to disgrace even the worst rednecks with that safety hazard, why don't you just wire up some brake and tail lights to the ends of the rack?

I know. The red flags came Lowes. I just grab a big hand full when I need them when buying lumber at Lowes.

Dude, seriously?????? :wtf:

I usually try to give you a hand or be helpful when you ask a question on something unsafe, but this thing is waiting to kill someone if you use it like that. Unfortunately, it probably won't be you, it will be an innocent bystander.

All I can do is beg you......please don't ever breed........ever!

Not just that but PLEASE! take that damn thing off, it was funny the first day and now it is just aggravating. If you are going to have a lumber rack, do it right and make it safe, I have had straps break on lumber racks and stuff flew off the front of the truck, luckily I was still in the lumber yard and noone was around. That was with a proper rack.

Yeah, this is all funny and whatnot but when you lose your load and someone else dies because of it, that's something different altogether.

Dave, fix it or remove it before someone gets hurt.

+1

Shorten it up and properly mount it. You won't loose buy mounting properly. You'll still carry long items on it within reason

Another reason to shorten and mount it properly.... you look kinda stupid running it the way you are now. No offense. People are making comments about you while you drive around
