Dave, you hauled 50 ft of catwalk with no support in the rear, and just that strap in the front?

Just clarifying what you are saying.

Fixed. More like 20-25ft.

Did it seem safe?

Yep, It was aluminum and made weiner.

Made weiner?

I don't understand what you are saying.

Fixed. Made by Weiner.

The bed rack ??

My concern was with the safety and mounting of that bed rack. Not the maker of the catwalk.

Awesome, more pics of it in action please.

Sent from my pocket.

Sorry no pics of the catwalk on the rack. I might try using it on a load 16ft boards to fix that roof but not sure yet. Might pay lowes to deliver them.

Naw, hell that rig will surely handle a load of 2 X 10 x 16's, no problem. Just use plenty of that string they have to tie it down.

And it's probably a Werner catwalk, not Weiner.

Sent from my pocket.

I dont know who made the bed rack. It wobbles a little if I apply my brakes to quickly or for sudden stops. Thats why i have it strapped to the pushbar with a ratchet tie strap.

It looks like it is going to bend the shit out of your bed in the front, I wouldn't use it ever again like that, All you would have to do is slam on the brakes wrong and it is going to fly into yours or someone else's windshield.

I was more concerned of the weight of 2x10x16's. Thats it Werner

The legs are about 6 to 8 inches inside hole on the bed.

For real??? You put something on that thing like that??? I could see it you picked it up somewhere, just to get it home a few miles away to put on another truck. But damn !!! You're lucky you didn't tear up your truck, and worse, get someone hurt.

The rack looks sturdy as hell, but it needs to be on the right truck. Look like it has provisions for hanging extensions cords and all. It would be great for a work truck.

You'll be fine, those legs are 1 X 1 square tubing, sitting in two stake pocket holes, that will support a shit ton of weight. Those Silverados are tougher than you think.
