Looks like this could be a good buy.

I was thinking about looking at this tomorrow. I got a lot of "IF's" about it like...

IF-

The Frame is not bent

Interior is not trashed

No Oil leaks lol

That this could be a good buy. I can replace the bed sides and put new fenders on it or I might even look for another bed and scrap this one... Exhaust will need to be changed....

I think that I have a couple extra Ring and Pinions lying around I might be able to switch that out pretty easily.

If they managed to make a 14bolt Full floater rear end noisy, they must of thrashed the living shit out of it!

But maybe just the G80 is exploded.... check it out and give it a test drive.

Seems too cheap. If it runs fine otherwise, you could drive it for a year or two and not be out anything.

I test drove a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500hd Ext cab with 140k on it and they were asking $5995

This isn't bad but it shook so bad I couldn't keep it on the road...

So as long as it stays on the road and drives smooth I would be all for it..

I haven't heard anything back from the guy. But "If" I were able to get this thing back in descent shape fixing the rear and exterior I could definitely sell it for what I have in it...

If you're going to use it for your business, just slap a flatbed on it. You could then haul pallets, rock, sod, etc without any issues loading/unloading.

Yeah that's not a bad idea Wayne. The bed had a lot of rust on the surface but not a lot of rust under it.

Ok.

So it has 270k on it. Not really a concern of mine and the truck ran really good. Engine compartment was descent. Oil sludge buildup around Oil cooler lines and on oil pan. But no evidence of a leak or drip. Truck did not smoke or use oil.

There is a rip on driver side of vinyl seats but other than that it was in pretty good shape. The front window needs replaced.

I am guessing the the rearend issue is the G80 Locker. It is not locked up yet but the truck accelerates without a miss or skip in the rear. To say the least I could not tell that there was a issue with the rear end until after I the truck up to 70 mph... On the return trip is when it started to clank a little.

Truck has 4.10's

They are asking $2850 for it but from here I am on the fence.

I would like to use this truck for hunting and on my property mostly.

What is the highest you would offer for this truck? Or considering that I could get the major issues- Rear end and bed sides replaced and painted for less than a $1000

Maybe I am off my rocker but I feel like this truck has a lot of life left...
