These are cool old trucks. A buddy of ours has one. He wanted it to run strong so he put a SBC in it Seriously though he put one of our old 400s in it. It is currently in black primer but it still a sweet truck.
my cosin has a 63 unibody ford. its died atlest four times and the family keeps bringing it back. his uncle bought it used wreaked rebuilt it then wreaked it. sold it to my cosin terry he rebuilt it and wreaked it. then they dug it back up when mike (my cosin the one that has it now) wanted it for his first ride. it now has a sbc chevy 400 trans. the frame was spliced in front of the cab (cause when he raced the quarter in it and let off it was all over the road) and a 73 ford front frame was welded in so he now has power steering and disc brakes. the funny thing is that throw all the family it has always been metallic blue. next time im in dighton during the day ill get so pics
The point people miss is that the Ford was NOT a unibody vehicle. It just had the bed and cab fused together, but was built on a traditional truck frame.
