I'm more of a new vehicle kinda guy. You can get a decent Z71 half ton for a good price with the supplier discount. Not to mention new vehicles tend to have lower interest, a full warranty, and you know for a fact it wasn't bastardized by their previous owner.

My round trip to work is 5 miles so fuel mileage isn't a big concern. I like to shoot, hunt, fish, and camp, but I can't fit everything in my Monte Carlo anymore. There may be times that I pull a trailer, haul lumber, take a load of gravel, move out some firewood, or load up for a weekend of manly activities. Basically, I don't want to ever say, "my truck can't handle that," because I compromised. I like to do things myself and have the means to haul anything needed for any project I may start.

I have to say, when you showed me the truck my first thought, was, what does he need that big of motor for. A 2500 gasser will do everything you listed and more, plus be better off for your daily commute. Hell my 1500, can do everything you listed. Sure I would like a diesel also, but it just isn't logical right now for me. I think you could find a bad ass lifted, newer GM 1500, 2500 and still be under the price of that truck.

I'll keep looking around I just liked that one. Saw something shiny, black on black and I wanted it.
