I bought 5 tires total (my wife needed a new one), and even with mounting and balancing on all 5 at the shop I went to, I still saved 140 bucks over what Gateway tire wanted to charge me for 4 tires.

Ok so I have been laid off for a little over a month now. I don't have a lot of cash to spend on the truck right now. But I've been dying to do something to the truck.

I've been thinking about doing some reverse lights to help me out with some light when backing up at night or at bonfires or something when we need light.

What do you guys suggest I could do to the truck for less than $40-$50 max!?

Fill it up with bottom grade petrol. :D

Yeah my biggest problem around here there are no shops like that. We don't have too much Franchise stuff like that.

We have some tire kingdoms and that's it. But no one can match online prices. I talked to a local guy that a lot of guys go to. I told him I saw tires for $250 a piece and he looked like  He said I can't get anywhere near that. He asked if I had been looking online

Grandpadirt said Sears will match online prices, as long as shipping is factored in. I tried to see if a local tire chain called Gateway tire would match tireracks prices. Especially since they are local as well. They said it depend on how much cheaper we were talking. Gateway sells the same exact tire in the same exact size for 180 each plus $16.99 mounting and balance for each one. When I told him TireRack had them for $125 each, he said no way he could match that. Then he proceeded to tell me the best he could do was $811 out the the door, and that was mounted, balanced and a free road hazard warranty. I said, "So you expect me to pay you $300 more for mounting balancing and a road hazard warranty? No thanks."

hmm...we have a tirerack about a hour away. I'll have to look into that. i don't even know if they carry Nitto. I'll have to look into that

I need tires BAD! I'm looking to spend $800 max I want some bad ass tires but can't justify paying over that for tires right now w/ my financial situation

You can probably stay under $800 shipped depending on what size tire you're looking for. They are retreads but you can pick any sidewall you want and they get great reviews. Their A/T tread is the same as the BFG, their M/T is the Goodyear MTR tread.

Yeah I'm not gonna do re-treads, I just don't trust them. On a trail rig or something sure, but not a Daily Driver

Same here, I would never run them. Not sure if you have a Discount Tire near you but they will price match anyone. Thats who I got my KM2s from
