This was a chore to do, and most likely was overkill cause it adds a few ponies at high rpm's which this motor will rarely see ..

Major oil control ... !



The plate under the oil pump stops oil from climbing up the back of the oil pan under hard acceleration ..

Reason for these oil control parts is the boat motor oil pan not having much baffling ...

Sourcing used parts to build the stand is going well ..
Tomorrow will be picking up some Flow Master mufflers ...
Changing gauges, found some AutoMeter's ..

Have you had this running? I see a tube in a gas can that looks like it's going towards the engine.

Not yet ..
Was testing out a used electric fuel pump .. Had it mounted to the stand .. Worked for about 20 seconds and it started to sing a Bob Dylan song ...
"Ain't going to work on Maggie's farm No-Mo"



Got a new cheapie ele. pump on the way ..

In the mode of getting the run stand on line ..





Decided to use the mechanical Auto Meter gauges instead of the boat's ele. ones ..

Might change out the tach to a better one too .. ??



The boat tach would serve the purpose, but might plug in a Sun Tach if I can run up on a cheapie .. ?

Being the run stand will see limited use, really don't want to spend a lot of green on it ..

More Junkyard scouting came up with a better tach and a panel ..
Tach hole is the right size, not so for the Auto Meter gauges ...

Okay ... Ordered a panel that's made for a run stand ..

Run stand is going together right nice it is ...
Moving the radiator back 10" gave enough room to mount the gas tank ..

Headers & control panel is in route ..
Along with the throttle control ..
