Ignition cylinder trouble for a 2000 Ranger.

The truck will not even try to start. I tried placing the old key next to the new one and still a no go.

Double check your wires, connections, relays...

it ran fine before swapping out the ignition, it would be my luck this is the time something else decides to fail.

Maybe you didn't get a good connection when you plugged it back in? I'd try the connections and check the clutch / neutral safety switch.

On my next day off I will have to dig some more. I removed it and re-installed it again just to make sure and it appears to be installed correctly.
